The Physical Therapist I (CF) position is located at CA State Prison, Solano (SOL) in Vacaville, CA, within Solano County. The position is part-time, working 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Administers physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments to patients in a correctional facility under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II.
- Interprets the significance of physical therapy services to patients.
- Complies with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures, pertaining to the physical therapy program.
- Maintains order and supervises the conduct of incarcerated individuals, ensuring the safety of persons and property and the security of working areas and work materials.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board. Applicants may be admitted to the examination prior to meeting these requirements, but the California Medical Board must determine that all legal requirements have been met before candidates will be eligible for appointment.
