MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST - California State Prison Solano (SOL)

Job Summary

This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent. This position is located at California State Prison, Solano (SOL), in Vacaville, CA.

Job Duties

• Provide therapeutic interventions to inmates in a manner consistent with the principles of marriage and family therapy.
• Assess and treat mental health issues within the prison setting.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss inmate progress and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Experience working with incarcerated populations.
• Knowledge of correctional settings and mental health treatment protocols.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and intervention techniques.
• Understanding of confidentiality and ethical considerations in therapy.
