Responsibilities

  • Completes physical therapy documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines.
  • Manages daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
  • Mets productivity standards per team guidelines.
  • Administers tests and measures to assist in establishing a plan of care and interventions and manages resources to accomplish patient goals.
  • Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
  • Mentors assistive personnel and delegates responsibilities as per licensing board guidelines.
  • Provides clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under the guidance of the clinical specialist or other subject matter experts.
  • Provides regular feedback, coaching and mentoring.
  • Evaluates the learner's performance.
  • Assists in the planning and coordinating of clinical programs in collaboration with the clinical specialist or manager.
  • Participates in continuous improvement in clinical services by attending and participating in departmental meetings and in-services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS within 3 months of hire date.
  • Physical Therapist I: No prior experience required.
  • Physical Therapist II: Five (5) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, including (1) year in the specialty field.

Qualifications

  • Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills.
  • Requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight.
  • Can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.
