About the Role

The Physical Therapist conducts individualized therapy programs, including assessment, treatment, planning, education, and communication to enhance patient progress towards functional goals. They collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate needs, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Design and implement personalized therapy plans based on thorough assessments.
• Supervise support staff to meet patient goals.
• Maintain effective communication with team members.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress updates.
• Adhere to standards of care, safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
• Engage in professional development through educational programs and workshops.
• Lead and support staff, acting as a resource within the community.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights, confidentiality, and safety policies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an APTA-approved physical therapy program.
• Current state licensure in physical therapy.
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of developmental and physical needs of diverse populations.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
