About the role

A Physical Therapist Assistant delivers patient treatment, exercise instruction, and education to enhance patient well-being within an established care plan.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, transfers, activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy procedures within scope.

Requirements

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and access to transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments and willingness to work weekends.
• Preferred: Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting and assisting with mobility.

Pay

Hourly pay ranges from $23.41 to $41.83.
