Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the role

Assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with disease or injury. Provide care across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families
• Deliver therapy and educate patients on discharge and community resources
• Conduct patient assessments, establish realistic goals, and document care per guidelines
• Act as a referral source and ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and infection prevention

Customer Service & Professional Development

• Promote positive patient experiences, teamwork, and continuous learning
• Participate in mandatory education, maintain licensure, and support new staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• State licensure
• BLS certification
• Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and computer skills are essential
