Role Overview
A physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. Services are delivered across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction, while adhering to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and revises treatment plans collaboratively with patients and families.
- Provides patient education, discharge instructions, and community resource referrals.
- Conducts patient assessments, establishes and evaluates treatment goals, and plans care in partnership with physicians.
- Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans per departmental protocols.
- Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication.
- Participates in staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development.
- Fosters teamwork, promotes a positive environment, and applies customer service principles.
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS certification required at hire.
- Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
