Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Responsibilities include implementing and modifying treatment plans, performing patient assessments, and coordinating follow-up care post-discharge.

Key Duties

• Develops and documents treatment plans based on current practices, adjusting as needed.
• Performs evaluations, goal setting, and discharge planning in accordance with department policies.
• Creates a positive learning environment for students, volunteers, and staff, offering educational opportunities related to clinical specialty.
• Ensures productivity standards are met, documents services promptly, and takes initiative to address patient needs.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students as part of care delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses: Georgia State Licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
