About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform independent medical assessments for veterans. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and completing VA-specific Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online portal, supporting accurate disability determinations.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
• Conducting thorough non-treating assessments to document current health conditions.
• Completing and submitting detailed DBQs within 24 hours of assessments.
• Assessing up to four veterans daily.

Qualifications and Skills

• Active MD or DO license with specialization in PM&R.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, Psychiatry, or Neurology preferred; relevant residency experience considered.
• Strong data analysis, record review, and digital documentation skills.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Motivated to serve veterans through objective assessments.

Schedule

This role involves minimal scheduling, typically one day per month or two half-days every other week.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $1,200 to $1,400 per day based on experience.
