Physiatry Nurse Practitioner Lead

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Regional oversight of clinical care and facility relationships
• Rounding 2-3 days a week at your own designated facility to care for patients experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations
• Providing clinical point of contact for all Providers in your region
• Ensuring all Providers display excellent clinical decision making and bedside manner
• Time shadowing each Provider in the region
• Regular clinical and facility meetings with facility staff
• Focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery
• Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs
• Supporting physiatrists on-site and operating with a high level of autonomy
• Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience
• Physiatry, Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation experience
• Comfort in performing ultrasound guided peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips)
• A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in a clinical leadership or supervisory role
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region

• Pay Range: 200,000 - 250,000 USD per year (San Leandro, CA), 200,000 - 250,000 USD per year (Oakland), 200,000 - 250,000 USD per year (Sacramento, CA)
• Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday
