Job Description

Job Title: PFC Pharmacy Support Packing Department: Pharmacy Fulfillment Center FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. Performs functions of packing, shipping and/or package sortation of prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Packages Prescription Orders

• Packages prescription in bags once accuracy is verified by a pharmacist
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
• Prepares the paperwork and compiles medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
• Keeps pharmacy supplies well-stocked
• Adheres to company policies and guidelines

Assists in Other Areas

• Assists in other areas of Fulfillment Center as needed
• Performs other job related duties and special projects as required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker Characteristics

• Must have the ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; several concrete variables
• Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
• Ability to read computer-generated screens

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Visual requirements include vision at 20 inches or less with or without correction, field of vision, and color vision
• Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
• Able to perform the following physical activities: reaching, twisting, rotating, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Working Conditions

• This position is exposed to noise on a daily basis
• This is a fast-paced work environment in an office and warehouse setting with significant pressure

Equipment Used to Perform Job

• High volume solutions robotics and operating software

Contacts

• Works with suppliers/vendors monthly, as well as office personnel and department leads

• Maintains the confidentiality of the customer’s private medical information according to the HIPAA Act

Pay

The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $18.00 to $22.50 depending on experience.
