Pharmacy Admissions Specialist

About the role

Consonus Pharmacy is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy specializing in the needs of nursing facilities, assisted living residents, and their caregivers. This role ensures data in electronic health records on patient information is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate thrives on ensuring accuracy and has proficient data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete all manual admissions
• Navigate multiple electronic health records - ADT integrated admissions
• Enter and verify all new patient information
• Update patient changes i.e. rooms, beds, status as needed
• Evaluate level of care and load short stay dates when applicable
• Basic general insurance review (E1D, E1 Commercial and Medicaid)
• Customer Agreement processing

Qualifications

• Experience with MS Office suite
• Proficient data entry skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Organizational skills to adapt to the needs of the current situation
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines

• Critical thinking/problem solving skills

Schedule

• This position is 100% onsite
• Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekend rotation
