Title: Patient Service Specialist (PSS)

Reports To: Director of Operations

Department: Patient Access / Front Office

Status: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

Supports: 6-8 providers, nursing, referrals, billing, and spa teams

The Patient Service Specialist is the in-person face of Catalyst Medical Center + Clinical Spa and the person who keeps patient access accurate. You own the patient experience at the front desk, the integrity of every schedule and chart, and the patient situations that need a human touch.

Schedule

Clinic hours, Monday through Friday; occasional coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Greet, check in, and check out patients for the medical clinic.
• Keep the day’s patient flow moving across 6-8 provider schedules; tell nursing and providers when patients arrive, run late, or need attention.
• Resolve patient concerns at the front desk with calm, professional follow-through.
• Collect copays and balances at the visit and handle point-of-service payments.
• Book, reschedule, and confirm appointments in eClinicalWorks using the details the AI assistant collects.
• Maintain provider preferences and scheduling templates.
