Personal Support Specialist PSS
Job Summary
New Communities is proud to offer a part-time opportunity as a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) in their assisted living/senior living home in Biddeford, ME. This role provides caregiver support to seniors to live life fully, assisting with personal care and encouraging participation in activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide caregiver support to seniors
- Aid with personal care needs
- Inspire residents to engage in fun, recreational activities
- Do not administer medications; opportunities to advance to Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA)
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Willingness to train
- Effective communication skills in English

Qualifications
PSSs do not pass medications to residents; however, there are opportunities to advance your career and become a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) and receive a $2 increase with the promotion.

Pay and Schedule
Per diem rate of pay is $15.50/hour. Full-time positions are not available at this time, with pay rates ranging from $16.10/hr. to $17.85/hr. depending on certifications and shift differentials. Hiring is immediate!
