About the role

This in-person role performs a variety of branch duties in accordance with regulatory and security guidelines, focusing on generating new business through educating and cross-selling products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients by telephone or in person with new account services, including additions or changes in client accounts.
  • Actively cross-sell all bank products.
  • Fill out contract forms, determine charges or fees for requested services, collect deposits, prepare change of address records, and complete proper disclosure forms.
  • Remain educated on all bank products, services, and technology.
  • Adapt quickly to changing technology and increase consumer awareness of available technology through education and demonstration.
  • Solve client complaints, questions, or problems.
  • Assist in branch supervisory functions, including branch settlement, teller balancing, and ATM settlement.
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
  • Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and client balances.
  • Enter clients' transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
  • Respond to audit reviews and help complete branch monthly audit reports.
  • Order branch cash as well as ATM cash orders for delivery.
  • Place foreign currency orders for clients.
  • Prepare domestic and foreign wire transfers for clients.
  • Allow clients access to safe deposit boxes, following specified procedures.
  • Monitor and review the financial institution’s security procedures and control access to the vault.
  • Assist in maintaining all dual control logs.
  • Use supervisory authority in support of teller transactions.
  • Ensure the security and safety of all employees.
  • Represent the bank in community-related activities.
  • Attend educational programs/seminars related to banking.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with electronic delivery channels including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking/Mobile Deposit, eStatements, and Bill Pay is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in person, by phone, virtually, and in writing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and prepare business, banking, regulatory, proposal, contract, and client documentation.
  • Ability to apply business- and financial-related concepts, analysis, or calculations as appropriate to the role.

Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment and may include client locations, meetings, presentations, conferences, and other business development settings. The role requires regular use of a computer, phone, virtual meeting tools, and standard office technology; the ability to review screens and documents; occasional travel within the market area; and occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 10 pounds. Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
