Personal Assistant – RGAYO
Location: New Earswick, near York, North Yorkshire
About the role
A Personal Assistant is required to join a small private home care team supporting a 46-year-old man in his own home. The client has multiple health conditions and experiences periods of complete paralysis. The role includes providing personal support during these periods, including toileting support, repositioning limbs, ensuring comfort, and being available as a calm, trusted presence.
The client’s interests and work include tabletop gaming, roleplaying games, writing, cartography, Twitch streaming, and YouTube content creation. Much of his work is home-based, so the successful applicant must be comfortable working in a home environment and providing support without being intrusive.
You may also be asked to help with light household or garden tasks, such as housework, hanging out washing, or other practical support. These tasks are important in helping reduce stress, which can worsen the client’s condition.
