About the role
You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer. You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure if not already a licensed CDL holder. You will perform highway maintenance activities including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing. You will perform snow and ice operations.
Requirements
- Highway Maintenance Worker 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and in reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
- Highway Technician 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and decimals, percentages, and fractions; ability to read, write, and speak common English vocabulary; 3 months training or 3 months experience in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
