About the Role
You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer. You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure if not already a licensed CDL holder. The role involves highway maintenance activities and snow & ice operations.

Requirements
Highway Maintenance Worker 1
- Formal education in arithmetic (addition & subtraction) and in reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary
- Must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction
Highway Technician 1
- Formal education in arithmetic (addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages, and fractions)
- Ability to read, write, and speak common English vocabulary
- 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in operation of basic equipment
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction
If involved in driving motorized snow & ice control equipment, a valid commercial driver’s license is required.

Pay
Starting compensation: Highway Maintenance Worker 1 at $21.48 per hour or Highway Technician 1 at $22.29 per hour.
