About the role
New York City FC is seeking a Performance Analysis Intern to support the delivery of performance analysis services within NYCFC's Academy.
Responsibilities
- Film, code and database daily training sessions as requested
- Produce biweekly and monthly training reports
- Create and organize pre/post-match analysis support assets (folder structures, report templates, etc.)
- Film and basic-code Academy games when required
- Contribute to the wider working and development of the Academy programme
- Ensure operational requirements such as uploading game footage to the correct platforms are met on deadline
- Attend Academy and other meetings as requested
Requirements
- Good knowledge of soccer (former player, coach or similar)
- Proficient computer literacy and the ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- Familiarity with major performance-analysis software (Sportscode, Match Analysis, Prozone, Hudl, Taka), Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint) and Mac software (Keynote, iBooks Author) strongly preferred
- Experience filming sporting events (ideally soccer) from a coaching perspective preferred
- Flexibility to work varying hours including evenings and weekends
- Able to commit for the full Academy season
- Strong time-management and communication skills
Qualifications
- Must comply with NYCFC child-safety policies
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Benefits
- Compensation: $17/hour
- Must commit to the full Academy season (August-May)
