About the role

New York City FC is seeking a Performance Analysis Intern to support the delivery of performance analysis services within NYCFC's Academy.

Responsibilities

  • Film, code and database daily training sessions as requested
  • Produce biweekly and monthly training reports
  • Create and organize pre/post-match analysis support assets (folder structures, report templates, etc.)
  • Film and basic-code Academy games when required
  • Contribute to the wider working and development of the Academy programme
  • Ensure operational requirements such as uploading game footage to the correct platforms are met on deadline
  • Attend Academy and other meetings as requested

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of soccer (former player, coach or similar)
  • Proficient computer literacy and the ability to learn new software and processes quickly
  • Familiarity with major performance-analysis software (Sportscode, Match Analysis, Prozone, Hudl, Taka), Microsoft software (Excel, PowerPoint) and Mac software (Keynote, iBooks Author) strongly preferred
  • Experience filming sporting events (ideally soccer) from a coaching perspective preferred
  • Flexibility to work varying hours including evenings and weekends
  • Able to commit for the full Academy season
  • Strong time-management and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Must comply with NYCFC child-safety policies
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Benefits

  • Compensation: $17/hour
  • Must commit to the full Academy season (August-May)
