Position Overview
The Performance Analysis Intern is responsible for supporting the delivery of performance analysis services within NYCFC’s Academy.
What You’ll Do
- Training: film, code and database daily training sessions as requested.
- Produce biweekly and monthly training reports.
- Pre & Post Match: create and organize analysis' support assets e.g. folder structures, reports templates, etc.
- Match day: film and basic code Academy games when required.
- Contribute to the overall wider working and development of the Academy program.
- Ensure the operational requirements, such as uploading game footage to the correct platforms, are fulfilled as per deadline requirements.
- Attend all Academy, and other, meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Must have good knowledge of soccer – either as former player, coach or similar.
- Must have proficient computer literacy skills and ability to assimilate new software and processes quickly.
- Familiarity with major Performance Analysis software (Sportscode, Match Analysis, Prozone, Hudl, Taka), Microsoft software (Excel, Powerpoint) and Mac software (Keynote, iBooks Author) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity and experience filming sporting events (ideally soccer) from a coaching perspective is preferred.
- Must have flexibility to work differing hours on a weekly basis (including evening and weekends) – as agreed each week – depending on the game and schedule of First and Academy Team.
- Must be able to commit to working for the full duration of the Academy Season (August-May).
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey messages to colleagues, coaches and players.

- Applicant must be able to comply with applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
