About the role
The Paid Internship in FC Cincinnati's Academy Performance Analysis department is available for individuals interested in learning about performance analysis at the elite level. The internship runs from February to December, with a maximum of 28 hours per week, following the 1st-team fixtures and including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Capture academy training sessions and code both live and post-training data;
- Use the data captured in training to provide feedback to coaches and players;
- Capture academy fixtures home and away when required (live and post-match);
- Label academy fixtures generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at both individual and team levels;
- Create educational videos using 1st-team and other-league footage to demonstrate best practices;
- Produce post-match analysis videos for players and coaches;
- Work with the club's data analyst to create benchmarking for academy players;
- Complete any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Performance Analysis and Director of Player Development.
Requirements
- Good technical and tactical soccer knowledge;
- High level of attention to detail;
- Able to work unsocial hours including evenings;
- Able to work under pressure for long hours;
- Superb organizational skills;
- Represent FC Cincinnati's family-friendly brand in all capacities.
Qualifications
- Working toward a Performance Analysis or sports-related degree;
- Soccer coaching qualifications (US Soccer D or equivalent).
Pay
This is a paid hourly internship with college credit also available.
