Per Diem Senior Cardiac Device Technician

About the role

The Senior Device Tech works with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a busy outpatient device clinic. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician, and/or mid-level providers.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate and assess implantable cardiac devices which include pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop recorders, as well as manage remote transmissions.
• Work closely with device clinic RN's and be under the clinical supervision of the implanting physicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health or science related field, or equivalent educ/experience.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 3 years previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.

Qualifications

• Cardiovascular Technician certification (CVT) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist certification (CCDS).
• Completion of ATI training.
