Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS required upon hire or transfer.
• Dysrhythmia course required within 90 days of hire or transfer; maintained at department level.
• Cardiovascular Certification preferred.
• Passage of department specific testing required.
• 1-2 years non-invasive cardiology technician experience preferred.

Performance Expectations

Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Work Environment

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, blood-borne pathogens, and potential injury. Requires the ability to stand and walk a majority of the time, and push and pull patients that are moderately heavy to heavy on equipment on wheels.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Nursing Leadership or the Cardiac Diagnostic leadership.
