Per Diem RN – Perinatal – Float Team – Night Shift
12-hour night shifts including weekends and holidays; 1 shift minimum per week.
About the role
In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for Perinatal (Labor & Delivery/Postpartum) patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family, and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education, and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions. This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on patient census and the skills of the RN/staff.

Responsibilities
- Implement appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
- Perform historical, physical, and behavioral patient assessments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans actively involving patients, family, and staff
- Work efficiently and effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting-edge patient care
- Contribute to the positive and collaborative team environment at UCLA Health
Requirements
- Current California RN license, required
- BSN or MSN degree, required
- 3 years of Perinatal RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Perinatal experience (including labor, delivery, and postpartum), required
- Travel or extensive Perinatal RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred
- BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
- NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association, required
- NCC Certification, preferred
- Official transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
Pay
$116.66 per hour.
