Per Diem Break Relief RN – Perinatal – Float Team – Day Shift
Shift: 4-6 hour break relief day shifts/week including weekends and holidays; 3 shifts/week
Pay Range: $116.66 per hour
About the role
In this position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for Perinatal (Labor & Delivery/Postpartum) patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. Responsibilities include assessing patient, family, and staff learning needs, delivering appropriate clinical education, and promoting effective working relationships. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.
This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on patient census and staff skills. Hospital locations include but are not limited to:
- UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital
- Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
- UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
Requirements
- Current California RN license, required
- BSN or MSN degree, required
- 3 years of Perinatal RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Perinatal experience (including labor, delivery, and postpartum), required
- Travel or extensive Perinatal RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred
- BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
- NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association, required
- NCC Certification, preferred
- Official transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
