Vinfen is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to individuals with various needs. Founded in 1977, Vinfen aims to promote recovery, resiliency, habilitation, and self-determination for the people they serve.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and document individual treatment support plans.
- Assist with daily tasks including (re)habilitative interventions, behavioral interventions, monitoring, scheduling appointments, providing transportation, and other related tasks.
- Teach skills to enhance independence and quality of life.
- Support persons served in becoming fully integrated into their communities.
- Assess persons served's physical and emotional status and report changes to supervisor.
- Maintain program site safety and perform daily living and cleaning tasks, including cooking, meal planning, grocery shopping, general housekeeping, lawn mowing, snow shoveling, and garbage removal.
- Comply with all corporate and divisional policies and procedures, including safe work practices, workers' compensation, universal precautions, and exposure control.
- Store, administer, document, and dispose of medication for persons served in accordance with MAP requirements, funding source regulations, and company policy.
- Complete various paperwork and logs including communication logs, community membership logs, chore schedules, timesheets, and application forms.
- Perform crisis intervention, as needed.
- Provide current contact information, including working telephone number(s), email address, and mailing address to Relief Pool Coordinator or Human Resources staff.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- One to three months experience in a human services setting (or substitute for academic training).
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- May require a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driver’s screening background check.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid US driver’s license for at least six months, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or a two-person lift.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are required within two weeks of hire.
- MUST HAVE MAP certification within 150 days of hire.
- MUST HAVE Safety Care certification within 90 days of hire.
Pay
The pay range for this position is USD $17.94 - USD $22.27 per hour.
