About the role
Vinfen is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to individuals with various needs. Founded in 1977, Vinfen focuses on promoting recovery, resiliency, habilitation, and self-determination for the people they serve.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing, implementing, and documenting individual treatment support plans.
- Assist with daily tasks including rehabilitative interventions, behavioral interventions, and monitoring.
- Support persons served in becoming fully integrated into their communities.
- Assess persons served's physical and emotional status and report changes to supervisor.
- Maintain program site safety and cleanliness.
- Perform crisis intervention as needed.
- Provide relief pool coordination and HR staff with current contact information.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- One to three months experience in a human services setting (or equivalent education).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license with at least six months of continuous possession.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and operate a computer.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of advocacy techniques, communication styles, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
- Knowledge of physical and household management skills.
- Experience with crisis intervention techniques.
- Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.
- Ability to document interventions and work independently.
- Ability to provide role model behaviors.

Pay
The pay range for this position is USD $17.50 - USD $21.27 per hour.
