Per Diem Residential Counselor

About the role

The Residential Counselor provides support, skill teaching, supervision, and community integration to adults with mental illness who reside in our group home. This farmhouse sits in an idyllic and peaceful area of Greenland, NH. Residential.

This role works closely with residents without the requirement of clinical care, which offers a rewarding but not daunting environment. It is a very safe environment with incredible staff support.

Responsibilities

• Support and teach skills to residents
• Supervise residents within the group home setting
• Facilitate community integration activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
• One year of experience working with persons with mental illness

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and trust with residents
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options

$20-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Varies based on resident needs, typically 4-6 hours per day, Monday through Friday
