Per Diem Residential Counselor

About the role

Beacon of Hope (BOH), a Division of Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS), is seeking Per Diem Residential Counselors to work in a 24-hour congregate setting in Staten Island. Residential Counselors provide support services to clients living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and in various stages of recovery. The role includes serving as a liaison for all other services required by clients, performing environmental assessments, and escorting clients to appointments. Work is performed in accordance with Office of Mental Health regulations for Licensed Housing as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures.

This is a non-exempt hourly position located at 777 Seaview Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services to clients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in various stages of recovery.
• Serve as a liaison for all other services required by clients.
• Perform environmental assessments.
• Escort clients to appointments.
• Adhere to Office of Mental Health regulations for Licensed Housing, as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Two years of Case Management experience, preferably with the SMI population.

Pay

$20 per hour.
