The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital’s Mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized, age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient’s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with medical staff.
  • Implement the Hospital’s Mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
  • Organize and administer individualized, age-specific professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
  • Assess each patient’s age-specific needs and determine appropriate treatment modalities based on principles of growth and development.

Requirements

  • Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Graduate from an NLN accredited School of Nursing.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $49.28 - $66.05 per hour. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
