About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse, providing direct patient care across diverse age groups including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care, following departmental and hospital policies. Serve as a clinical leader and role model to promote a positive work environment and high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
- Administer medications, including IV therapies, and assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent and documentation.
- Respond to emergencies, institute measures as needed, and ensure patient safety by identifying and reporting hazards or errors.
- Maintain accurate medical records and manage patient inquiries and triage calls.
- Participate in the orientation and precepting of new staff.
- Follow safety policies, contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment, and actively promote patient participation in their care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- RN licensure in the applicable state or reciprocity agreement.
- CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual abilities.
- Specialized certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or ENPC.
Physical and Work Environment
Capable of exerting heavy physical effort and working in environments with potential biohazards, requiring PPE and tuberculosis testing.
