Per Diem Psychiatric Nurse

This role involves providing direct nursing care within the inpatient adult services department, working primarily night shifts with applicable shift differentials. Key responsibilities include: Following patient safety policies and proactively identifying safety concernsCollaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient educationAdministering medications accurately, assisting with tests and procedures, and managing emergency situationsEnsuring accurate documentation in medical records and responding to departmental inquiriesParticipating in orientation, training, and mentoring new staffPromoting a safe, therapeutic environment and encouraging patient engagement in their care Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a valid RN license in the stateAt least 2 years of relevant nursing experienceCPR certification required within 30 days of employmentPreferred: Bilingual skills, specialty certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or ENPC Skills and Conditions: Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 poundsAdherence to safety protocols, PPE use, and infection control standards
