About the role
Provides direct nursing care within a hospital setting, working across various patient age groups including Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Acts as a clinical leader and role model to promote a positive work environment and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Ensures patient safety by following policies, reporting hazards, and participating in safety initiatives.
- Implements and documents individualized care plans, administers medications safely, assists with tests and procedures, and responds to emergencies.
- Maintains accurate medical records, triages calls, and participates in staff orientation and training.
- Promotes patient participation in their care and reports safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Required credentials include RN licensure in NM, BLS/CPR, and ACLS certification.
- Additional certifications like PALS or specialty certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual skills and advanced certifications are nonessential but preferred.
Skills
Strong clinical judgment, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Must follow PPE requirements and TB testing protocols. The role involves providing safe, compassionate, and effective patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
