About the Role
Provide direct nursing care within a hospital setting, including adult and pediatric units, demonstrating clinical leadership and serving as a role model to promote a positive work environment and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety by following policies, reporting concerns, and improving safety practices.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, assist with tests and procedures, and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in orientation and precepting of new staff.
- Promote patient engagement in their care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- At least 2 years of related nursing experience.
- RN licensure in New Mexico.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual abilities.
- Specialty certifications.
- Additional advanced training.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Capable of exerting significant physical effort.
- Work with hazardous materials requiring PPE.
- Adhere to safety protocols in a clinical environment.
