Role: Provides direct nursing care within the psychiatric emergency setting, serving patients across all age groups. Acts as a clinical leader and role model to promote a positive work environment and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Ensure patient safety by following policies, reporting hazards, and participating in safety improvements.Develop professional growth through education, literature, and workshops.Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.Collaborate with healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.Administer medications, assist with tests and procedures, and respond to emergencies.Ensure accurate medical records and effectively triage calls and inquiries.Participate in orientation, precept new staff, and uphold departmental policies.Encourage patient participation in their own care and report safety concerns promptly. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years related nursing experience.Current RN license and CPR certification required.Preferred certifications include PALS, TNCC, ENPC, or specialty certifications. Skills & Conditions: Ability to administer medications, assist with procedures, and work in a physically demanding environment. Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response, and patient care documentation is essential. Must adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
