Per Diem - Labor and Delivery Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and gather health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, appropriate, and timely
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members via in person, phone, and written methods
• Individualize patient and family education based on assessments to meet learning needs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing school
• Current Illinois nursing license
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
