Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specialized in ICU or Telemetry for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA. This role offers flexible scheduling with options for day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care in an acute-care setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate with patients and families
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia RN license
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
