Position Overview
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem assignments in ICU and Telemetry units in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, high-quality acute-care nursing care
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions and responses
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Following infection-control, safety policies, and hospital procedures
- Educating patients and families about treatments and discharge instructions
- Demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
