Per diem Hospice Aide

About the role

We are a non-profit, community-led agency founded in 1980. Our mission is to provide quality care to patients and families in need, focusing on consistency, responsiveness, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen.
• Auxiliary with prescribed exercises as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
• Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in the State of California.
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

Qualifications

• Must have HHA license.

Pay

$26.30 - $31.00 hourly.

Schedule

Per diem; 8:30am - 5:00pm; must be available at least 6 shifts per month.

Location

Contra Costa County & some areas of Alameda County with occasional coverage to San Mateo County.

Education/Experience

• Related experience and/or training.
• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.

Certifications/Licenses

• Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in the State of California.
• Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.
