About the role

The Home in Walpole is a residential treatment placement for adolescent youth who need specialized treatment as they heal from the traumatic events that have shaped their young lives. Our strength-based clinical services help youth learn to manage their behaviors while preparing them for life in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Joining a dynamic team of professionals implementing our trauma-informed care model.
  • Supporting youth in developing the skills they need to successfully transition home to families.
  • Teaching age appropriate life skills, coping skills, and social skills through modeling, counseling, and other techniques.
  • Participating in groups and activities designed to enhance youth growth and development.
  • Participating in both on-site and off-site recreational/educational activities.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year prior experience working with youth preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of kids.

Counselors can enroll in The Home’s Impact Corps - a fellowship learning track designed to provide adults with an opportunity to help serve vulnerable children and young adults while gaining industry experience in counseling, education, clinical roles, and leadership. Pay Range
