Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

About the role

Provides anesthesia care in the operating room, supporting surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision. Responsible for preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, and postoperative follow-up, acting as a patient advocate and liaison among patients, families, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia, selects drugs, and monitors patient status to ensure stability.
• Induces, maintains, and adjusts anesthesia; treats variants as needed.
• Communicates patient condition with surgical team and interprets physiological data.
• Performs thorough preoperative assessments and prepares OR with necessary equipment and medications.
• Coordinates with staff to ensure patient safety, including positioning and equipment troubleshooting.
• Responds to emergencies, maintains airway, and provides anesthesia support across areas.
• Accurately documents care in electronic medical records and safely transports patients post-procedure.
• Acts as a mentor and preceptor to colleagues, staff, and students.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing (required).
