People Services Specialist
About the role
The People Services Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the employees at Rutherford Regional Health System. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is part of a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing the employee experience and fostering a culture where employees can thrive.
Responsibilities
Administer and support comprehensive human resources programs, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employment processing, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations, retention, succession planning, records management, and AA/EEO compliance.
Serve as a trusted People Services resource by providing guidance to employees, supervisors, and leaders on HR policies, procedures, employment practices, workforce issues, and recommending effective solutions to complex HR matters.
Manage HRIS platforms and employee data, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, reporting, compliance, and efficient administration across systems such as Oracle, UKG, ServiceNow, Lawson, Kronos, Taleo, and other HR technologies.
Cook up onboarding, orientation, and HR systems training, educating new employees, supervisors, and managers on HR processes, systems, and best practices while providing ongoing training updates and support.
Administer employee benefits, leave of absence (LOA), and payroll-related HR processes, managing employee communications, documentation, and coordination with managers to ensure a seamless employee experience.
Support employee relations and organizational performance by assisting with performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, employee engagement initiatives, and coaching managers on HR-related issues.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, organizational policies, accreditation standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines while supporting HR projects and continuous process improvements.
Requirements
A minimum of two years of Human Resources experience required, with HR Generalist, HR Operations, or healthcare HR experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and AA/EEO compliance requirements.
Experience utilizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) required; experience with Oracle, UKG, ServiceNow, Lawson, Kronos, Taleo, or similar HR platforms is preferred.

Pay
$25 - $30 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
An associate's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a bachelor's degree with a business emphasis is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
