People Services Director

Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior HR leader for the hospital and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to align workforce strategies with business and operational goals.
- Lead employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives.
- Oversee labor relations activities, including administration of collective bargaining agreements and union partnerships.
- Participate in and/or lead union negotiations, grievance management, and employee relations matters.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Direct recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention efforts to support staffing needs.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, policies, and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee HR audits, reporting, documentation, leaves of absence, accommodations, and policy administration.
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and implement action plans based on workforce data and organizational needs.
- Supervise and develop HR team members while fostering a positive, high-performance work environment.
- Lead employee development, leadership development, and training initiatives across the facility.
- Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and HR-related expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies while supporting a people-first culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school required.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
- Three years of human resources experience required.
- Two years of healthcare human resources experience preferred.
- One year of behavioral health experience preferred.
- De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually.

This is a Full Time, Exempt position. Full comprehensive Benefit and Total Rewards package eligible.
