Pennsylvania Music Certified Extended Substitute Teacher

About the role

Extended Substitute Teacher position at Ingomar Middle School from the start of the school year until October 16, 2026. The candidate must hold a Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Music.

Responsibilities

• Establish a program and class environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through rich and engaging experiences.
• Build effective rapport with students, motivating them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge aligned with each student's ability.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with parents and staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Music (Instructional I certificate required; placeholder letters for pending certificates accepted until received).
• Current clearances (must be within one year of hire date):
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and TB test.

Pay

• Days 1–30 (non-consecutive): $120.00 per day.
• 31+ consecutive days: 85% of Step One in the collective bargaining agreement.
