MaineHealth Behavioral Health is seeking a Peer Recovery Partner to provide one-on-one support to individuals in the community, at their homes, and/or at the work location. This role also includes group facilitation and connecting people to wellness and recovery opportunities in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one peer support in the community and at individuals' homes.
- Facilitate group support sessions.
- Assist individuals in connecting with wellness and recovery opportunities in their communities.
Requirements
- Some college coursework preferred.
- Completion of, or ability to complete, relevant training to the position, such as the State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) Certification. Provisional CIPSS Certification may be required within 9 months of start date.
- If CIPSS is required, the ability to maintain certification is necessary.
- Recovery Coach training may also be required upon hire or within 9 months of start date.
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle available for work, covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
- Experience providing one-on-one and/or group facilitation peer support preferred.
- Must be receiving or have received services and/or supports related to a history of substance use, in active recovery, and willing to self-identify on this basis with peers and in the community.
- Computer proficiency required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
