Recovery Peer Support
About the role
Seasons is a comprehensive behavioral health center offering a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to communities in the Northwest Iowa region. As a Community Mental Health Clinic, our goal is to increase access and improve the quality of behavioral health services.
Responsibilities
- Act as a mentor and provide guidance through insight gained from their own personal recovery journey.
- Model and promote positive health and wellness activities, including substance abuse relapse prevention and coping skills.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify barriers and improve clients’ access to community resources and supports.
Requirements
- Must have personally experienced a substance use disorder and have a minimum of 2 years in recovery.
- Must have an active Recovery Peer Support certification OR be eligible to obtain one.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Travel is a requirement of this position, so a valid driver’s license is required.
