About the role
The Peer Recovery Partner role provides one-on-one support to people in the community, at their homes and/or at the location where the peer works. This role will also provide group facilitation and support people in connecting to wellness/recovery opportunities in their communities.

- Provide group facilitation and support people in connecting to wellness/recovery opportunities in their communities.
Requirements
- Completion of, or ability to complete relevant training to the position required. This may be the State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) Certification.
- Provisional CIPSS Certification may be required within 9 months of start date. If CIPSS is required, the ability to maintain certification is required.
- Recovery Coach training may also be required upon hire or within 9 months of start date.
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy required.
- Experience providing one-on-one and/or group facilitation peer support preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Some college coursework preferred.
- License/Certifications: Completion of, or ability to complete relevant training to the position required. This may be the State of Maine Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) Certification.
- Computer proficiency required.
Skills
- Is receiving or has received services and/or supports related a history of substance use, is in active recovery and is willing to self-identify on this basis with peers and in the community.
