About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical service to pediatric pulmonology patients at UW Health Kids locations.
- Engage in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.
- Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest (CHS Track only).
- Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health (applicable to Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track)).
- Work in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology from the American Board of Pediatrics is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Pulmonology is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required by the start date of the position.
- WI Medical license by start date of position.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position.
