Responsibilities

• Pharmaceutical care to primarily neonatal and to a lesser extent pediatric patients
• Drug distribution support
• Clinical interventions
• Participation in investigational drug studies
• Teaching
• Pharmacy representation on pediatric medical committees
• Entering orders with great accuracy
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor
• Serving on committees as assigned
• Answering questions for all health care professionals
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service

Requirements

• 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience
• 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices
• Residency Training
• Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Non Nursing)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Registered Pharmacist
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licensed Pharmacist

Skills

• Experience with automated dispensing devices
• Experience with pharmacy information systems
