About the role

A unique opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychology assessment, testing, diagnosis, and clinical treatment services for children and young adults in both our inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough neuropsychological evaluations of children and young adults using best practice guidelines, including assessments of intelligence, academic ability, attention, concentration, sensorimotor function, language, learning, and memory.
  • Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, high-quality written reports with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Provide feedback to families in a supportive and accessible manner, helping them understand evaluation findings and next steps.
  • Complete assessments, progress notes, testing reports, and other required documentation to professional standards within the required timeframe.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
  • Contribute to program development and outreach initiatives as the neuropsychology service continues to grow.
  • Provide direct and consultative neuropsychological evaluations and treatments as part of the interdisciplinary team for the inpatient rehabilitation program.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed as a psychologist in Iowa.
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Neuropsychology or willing to obtain.
  • Two years of licensed practice experience preferred.
  • Open to considering early-career pediatric neuropsychologists.

Preferred Experience

  • Post-doctoral training in neurodevelopmental assessment, expertise in assessment of autism and neurodevelopmental.
  • Experience conducting neuropsychological assessments with pediatric populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and interest in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pediatric team.
  • Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
